IHG One Rewards is here. IHG is finally closing the gap to the benefits that Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott give its status members: free breakfast and suite upgrade vouchers are among the new benefits.
On 13 April 2022, IHG Rewards changed. New status tiers were created, new criteria for collecting points and earning status introduced:
From June this year, IHG One Rewards will feature impressive new benefits for status members, including free breakfast for Diamond elites:
But the improvements don't stop there. IHG is launching so-called "milestone benefits". The more nights you stay, the more benefits you unlock. Impressive benefits include a suite upgrade voucher after 20 nights or an annual lounge membership after 40 nights:
IHG is really upping its game here. Benefits like free breakfast, suite upgrade vouchers and lounge access close the gap to the competition. The new benefits might actually take the sting out of dynamic reward pricing, which massively devalued IHG Rewards.
