Virgin Atlantic unveils impressive new business class

Virgin Atlantic has revealed its new business class this week. The seat will launch when the airlines takes delivery of its first batch of A350 aircraft later this year.

The new cabin and seat design look impressive. According to the Virgin website, the new 'Upper Class Suite' features:

• "44 inch pitch

• 20 inch seat width

• Seamless transition from seat to bed

• All aisle access seats

• All window facing seats

• Deployable privacy screens

• Additional working surfaces

• 18.5 inch screen

• Intuitive new entertainment system, controllable by your personal device

• USB ports and AC power socket (UK/US/EU)

• In seat adjustable moodlighting"

Interestingly, unlike the new BA Club World Suite, Virgin's revamped business class seat does not have a door. It will still feel much more private than the current Upper Class seat though.  

The bar area, called 'The Loft', features sofas with integrated seat belts, so pax will be able to stay here during turbulence. Hoping to try this out later in the year.
