American Express to End Membership Rewards Transfers to Hawaiian Airlines on June 30, 2025

Big news for travel rewards enthusiasts: American Express Membership Rewards is ending its transfer partnership with Hawaiian Airlines. Effective June 30, 2025, you'll no longer be able to transfer Membership Rewards points to HawaiianMiles, the airline’s frequent flyer program.

🚫 Transfer Partnership Ending Soon

A notice now appears on the Amex Hawaiian Airlines transfer page:

"Effective June 30th, 2025, the ability to transfer Membership Rewards® points to Hawaiian Airlines’ HawaiianMiles will no longer be available."

If you’re planning a Hawaii vacation or already have HawaiianMiles in your account, now’s the time to transfer your points before the window closes.

🔁 Current Transfer Ratio

The current 1:1 transfer ratio means 1 Amex point = 1 HawaiianMile. That’s solid value when paired with one of the airline’s award sweet spots (more on that below).
