Until 30 April 2018, Heathrow Rewards is offering bonus points on Apple products.
Unlike previous versions of this offer, all Apple products are eligible to trigger a bonus depending on how much you spend:
- purchases worth £350 - £699.99 earn double Heathrow Rewards points
- purchases worth £700 - £999.99 earn triple Heathrow Rewards points
- purchases worth £1000+ earn quadruple Heathrow Rewards points
Although you are unlikely to receive a 20% VAT rebate on Apple products at Heathrow, buying at the airport WILL be cheaper than on the High Street.
This promotion is a good way of maximising the saving. For simplicity's sake, let's assume you spend £1000 on a MacBook Pro, for which you will receive quadruple Heathrow Rewards points. At the very least, 4,000 Heathrow Rewards points are worth:
- £40 in Heathrow shopping vouchers
- £80 in Heathrow parking vouchers
- 4,000 Avios, Virgin, Lufthansa, Emirates, Royal Brunei or Singapore miles.
In reality, we should be able to do even better here. In the past, Heathrow Rewards offered a 100% transfer bonus, making the 4,000 bonus points worth 8,000 airlines miles. We also saw a 100% bonus on conversions into Heathrow shopping vouchers last year. If this is repeated, the 4,000 points would be worth £80.
Full terms and conditions:
- "Receive Double points when you spend £350 - £699.99, triple points when you spend £700 - £999.99 and quadruple points when you spend £1,000 or more
- Extra points at Dixons Travel, Heathrow from 29 March to 30 April 2018.
- Extra points will be awarded on transactional value only, member status does not apply.
- Heathrow Rewards card must be presented at time of transaction.
- Only one offer per transaction.
- Points will be deducted from accounts if items are subsequently returned.
- Heathrow Rewards general Terms and Conditions also apply."
